Pay per click advertising is one of the oldest ways of generating traffic to a site and the biggest network for this is Bing Ads which is owned by Microsoft. It is known to be less expensive and less competitive than other PPC platforms like Adwords and Facebook Ads. The search ads are targeted and lots of optimization options are available to advertisers to choose from.

How to Succeed in PPC Advertising?

To succeed with PPC, there is the need to be up to date with the current best practices and optimization strategies.  So long as you can figure out how it works, it is a very profitable channel to compete in.
Combining Pay per Click (PPC) and Affiliate marketing, many persons have been able to earn thousands and millions of dollars. But the question is, how realistic is it to succeed using PPC to promote your affiliate marketing business?
Many affiliates would want to jump into PPC because this channel allows you to make sales immediately.  But it requires some know-how before you jump into this technique. Digging deeper, you would realize that outbidding your competitors isn’t all there is to it. Creatively written ads are naturally listed higher and also generate more clicks.

As with most affiliate marketers, it is oftentimes preferable to advertise on Yahoo and Bing advertising network. Though both get less traffic than Google, their ad networks cost less per click than Google. Realistically though, using Bing to succeed in affiliate marketing is much easier as the targeting options are laser-focused.
In this PPC advertising model, you pay for individual clicks instead of paying for placing your ad on a search results page. For example, when users of search engine type particular keywords into the search bar (keywords that you are targeting), your ad pops up in one of the several locations on the Bing search results page.
So how do you go about achieving maximum profit from Bing Ads in Affiliate marketing?
If you’ve been in the affiliate marketing world recently, you would know Google doesn’t like affiliates. On the other hand, you know that Bing is not so strict about affiliates and their doings yet. So to set up your Bing PPC ad, you need to, first of all, have a Bing ads account. After that, you can move on to other technicalities.

The Two Major Ways of Doing PPC Advertising:

Affiliate marketers are doing a lot with Bing PPC ads and there are two types of pages marketers are driving traffic towards:
  • The sales page of some product: this is the simpler and faster approach as it doesn’t require a person to set up a website of his/her own.
  • A squeeze page: is a page that is specially designed to capture a visitor’s email in exchange for something that you offer for free. For example; PLC content, a free e-book which you wrote, free access to some useful tool, etc. An affiliate marketer can later promote numerous offers to the said list of emails and make a lot of cash. This requires more work and effort but pays more especially if done the right way.

Doing Keyword Research.

Another thing necessary is to perform keyword research and to go through all the steps to having a Bing PPC ad.

Performing keyword searches for Bing ads is slightly different from performing keyword research for a website using SEMrush or Keywordtool.io, and there are lots of ways to go about it. Using Google’s Keyword Planner, you can get a lot of keyword ideas but the key is to just find the one that sounds relevant to the product.
In choosing the keywords, these points have to be kept in mind:
  • Be on the look-out for keywords with high CTR.
  • Look for keywords with lower average CPC.
  • Also lookout for keywords with higher amounts of monthly searches.

Optimization of an ad is very important also before rounding up the process.  You can split-test Bing ads. This involves changing up the ad title, ad text, and the display URL to find the best possible combination. Now, you have to deal with negative keywords especially if you added all the keyword ideas from the AdWords Keyword Planner.

It can also send all of that data directly to your Bing ads account with the click of a button.
The Bottom Line.
In conclusion, this is just the basics on how to use Bing pay per click ads in affiliate marketing. You can clearly see that it is not so difficult and anyone can do it. So long as you invest more time or effort in this money-making strategy, the better the results will be.
